A successful image is more than a bunch of organized pixels of varying densities; it must convey your story. It is a single moment that shows an unusual behavior, terminal flight, mating rituals, predator v. prey, the interplay of light and landscape, and a myriad of other things. That moment, if portrayed correctly, is the story I am trying to tell. Please enjoy my stories.
It began in 1975 (or earlier) with a Nikon SLR and the wonder as each image magically emerged from the developer tray,
What has not changed is my sense of wonder as I create Wildlife, Landscape and Nature images that reflect my vision and tell my stories.
Today, film and toxic chemicals have disappeared and we have the ability to instantly produce and view 50, 60 million pixel images at the rate of 30 per second using the latest technology and near flawless glass encased in titanium, carbon, and aluminum.
Kimberly and I are the proud parents of three daughters and one very special grandson (so far). I am a passionate advocate for medically complex children and patients needing specialized care.

I was raised in Long Island (Kings Point), New York and the San Joaquin Valley (Fresno and Clovis), California, and am now living between the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the San Joaquin River, surrounded by the many wonders of nature.
Yosemite National Park is to the North, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks are to the East, and the great Pacific is to the West.
I find great joy in the outdoors and mountains, where I practice my other great passions: wildlife and nature photography, hiking and biking.
